Over the past nine months, Dubai Police has been actively working to implement the newly released ISO 42001: 2023 Artificial Intelligence Management System standard. Following a series of meetings, workshops, and a rigorous two-stage audit conducted by Bureau Veritas, Dubai Police is now officially an ISO 42001 certified organization.
ISO 42001 is the world’s first international standard for AI Management Systems. It outlines the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving a trustworthy Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS). The standard addresses key areas such as AI risk management, impact assessments, lifecycle oversight of AI systems, and the management of third-party AI suppliers. This is the new framework for AI governance.
